Please Contact Your MP

This winter, across Canada, there is a group of concerned individuals who are contacting MPs to relate to them personal accounts of the trials families face in dealing with anaphylaxis – and to ask for their support for Motion 230.

We are asking everyone who wants to see action on severe allergy issues to contact their local Member(s) of Parliament. Write. E-mail. Phone. Visit.

MPs want to hear your concerns, so tell them your story – talk about some of your challenges in trying to keep your loved ones safe. Ask for their support in advancing allergy issues in Ottawa. Ask if we can count on their support for Motion 230.

Take copies of the 5-point policy request should MPs wish further information (here’s the pdf – http://cai-allergies.ca/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/CAI_5points.pdf )

Also, promise to stay in touch with them.

Then let the families at CAI know of your conversation and MP’s response. E-mail us at: cai.allergies@gmail.com. This is important for we will be sure your MP gets on a list for continuous updates and pertinent information on the advance of anaphylaxis issues at the federal government level.

Over the next few months, connecting with your MP is the most important thing you can do to move the goals of the Canadian Anaphylaxis Initiative forward. Thank you in advance for your time and efforts. Together we will see results in Ottawa through the up-coming year.

And a final point – supporters can also help us by letting people know of this new website and spreading the word of the CAI effort. Encourage other families to become informed and get involved. Join us and use your Facebook page, Twitter account, LinkedIn profile. Share our news about Motion 230 and the 5-point policy request.
